A real life example of our Mexican insurance legal service in action
A few years ago we had a customer who was driving through Tijuana on his way to San Diego to pick up a friend from the airport. It was Sunday night, and the sun had already gone down. Suddenly, a pedestrian ran out in front of his vehicle. Even though our customer slammed on his breaks, his vehicle still hit the pedestrian. Immediately the police and emergency medical services were on the scene, and our customer was detained by the police. It turned out not to be our customer's fault, but he was still taken to the police station and detained because the pedestrian was seriously injured.
Upon arriving at the police station, our customer called his Mexican insurance claims phone number, and a legal representative was assigned. By early Monday morning, the US Consulate had been contacted and was involved, and our customer was released from the police station by noon on Monday. Even though this was a tragic case, the legal service was able to get our customer and his vehicle released in less than 24 hours. His friend who was waiting at the San Diego airport had also been contacted Sunday evening, so they could arrange for other travel plans.
