The state of Yucatan is home to some of the most

The state of Yucatan is located in the northern center of
the Yucatan peninsula. The entire peninsula is one of Mexico's
most popular tourist destinations - with Cancun and Cozumel
being located in the neighboring state of Quintana Roo.
While in Yucatan, the traveler should certainly visit the
Capital Merida. Merida was one of the first Spanish colonial
cities, and the colonial architecture creates a distinctive
European feel.
