HDI Seguros is now offering the highest liability limits in the Mexican 'tourist' auto insurance market. Their Premier Policy Package covers US or Canadian registered vehicles while driving in Mexico. This increase in the liability limit of up to $500,000 is designed for our Mexican insurance customers who wish to have the highest amount of liability coverage possible. The Premier Policy has the option for $150,000 - $300,000 - or $500,000 worth of third party liability coverage in Mexico.

Deductible Waiver for Physical Damage if you are hit by an uninsured motorist in Mexico

More than 50% of cars driving in Mexico do NOT have any auto insurance. So the odds are pretty high that if you are in an accident with another vehicle in Mexico, the other party probably will not have any liability insurance. If the at fault party in the accident does not have insurance, then you will be responsible for the damages to your vehicle. Typically, your Mexican auto insurance will cover you, but you will be responsible for paying your physical damage deductible which could be anywhere from $500 to over $1,000.

The new HDI Premier Policy Deductible Waiver program will now waive your physical damage deductible if the third party is at fault and is uninsured. This allows you to have your vehicle repaired without paying any deductible. This is an extremely beneficial coverage that HDI has now added to their Premier Policy.
