Internet Access is Available in Most Larger Towns in Baja
Many hotels have wireless internet access, and there are also many internet cafes around towns.
Even though you may be going to Baja to escape your email, cell phones, and other electronic gadgets - it is still nice to be able to access the internet every once in a while if needed. Surprisingly, internet access is pretty easy to find while on the road in Baja. Most of the major towns along Highway 1 such as Ensenada, La Paz, Guerrero Negro, Mulege, and the Los Cabos areas all have internet cafes. So there should be internet access somewhere within every few hundred miles along the peninsula.
Most of the hotels with internet access only provide wireless connections, so you need to have your own computer to connect. If you do not have a computer with you, you will need to find an internet cafe. Ask around town, and you should be able to find your internet connection fairly quickly.
If you are not very internet savvy, but you want to use email while in Baja - it is suggested that you set up a free email account with Gmail (google mail). This type of email is free and you can access it from any computer in the world by using your password. It is extremely convenient for people who are traveling.
